How to pray every day and why

Prayer is a need and praying every day brings not only comfort, but light, peace and blessings. Prayer is all about pouring out your heart before God The Manna.

1 Chronicles 16:11 "Look to the LORD and his strength, seek his face always"

When we choose a quiet place and start our conversation with God, there is a soul connection with Lord Almighty and he listens , Psalm 145: 18 "The LORD is near to all who call on him, to all who call on him in truth". 

God will listen to our prayer, we are sincere, honest, truthful and humble. A complete surrender is required when we pray to him. Because, God will not listen when are not truthful in our hearts as it said in Psalm 15:29 " The Lord is far from the wicked, but he hears the prayer of the righteous".

God is always willing to listen to your prayer and he does not wait to bless you. The order of prayer should be as follows:

- Read the scripture 

- Think about the scripture and understand what God is revealing to you

- Begin to pray

Luke 18:1 " Then Jesus told his disciples a parable to show them that they should always pray and not give up"

 Colossians 4:2  " Devote yourselves to praying, being watchful and thankful"

 1 Thessalonians 5:17  "pray continually"

Philippians 4:6 " Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God"

 We wonder as to why God is not answering our prayers quickly. We want good things happening in our lives, directly coming from God. That wish is perfect, there is nothing wrong in receiving miracles from God as an answer to your prayer.

But, remember God works slowly, in His own time and His plans are not like ours.  

 Deuteronomy 28:8  " The Lord will send a blessing on your barns and on everything you put your hand to, the Lord will bless your God"

 Our responsibility is to seek God and pray, follow his commandments, principles and His divine law. His commandment stated in St.Luke 10:27 "'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind'; and, 'Love your neighbour as yourself.'"


Joshua 22:5 "But be very careful to keep the commandment and the law that Moses the servant of the LORD gave you: to love the LORD your God, to walk in obedience to him, to keep his commands, to hold fast to him and to serve him with all your heart and with all your soul.”

When you follow God's law, soon His goodness will occupy your home and you will receive answers to your prayer. 

 How to pray everyday and what are the components of a good prayer, these are as follows:

- Praise God and give Thanks for His goodness and mighty power over the mankind

 - Thank him for blessing you for the day

 - Put forth your requests and inform God, as to why that request is required to be fulfilled

 - Submit that request and seek God's permission and ask him whether the blessing is in His will 

 - Tell God how important that blessing and how it will help you to glorify him forever 

 - Submit every request to God's will and say that you are waiting for God's permission 

 - Praise him that without His acceptance and approval, you will not go ahead

- Surrender your thoughts, ideas, opinions and deeds to His acceptance

- Confirm that you wish to walk according to God's commandments and instructions and that you will read His holy word everyday

-  Say that you trust in God and you believe in His kingdom

 - Stay calm and meditate as long as you can and submit your prayer to the Lord.

 After you finish your prayer, recite Lord's prayer.
Conclusion

Prayer is a never ending process. The more we attach ourselves to God, the more closer we go towards God. Lord listens to all your requests and will definitely give you blessing, when you pray more and more. His peace descends in you and you are a changed person who seek God in all of your works. That is how, you become a child of God and praying to God is just the beginning.
